Delete your Splitzy account

Splitzy lets you delete your account and associated data at any time. Here's what happens and how to do it.

Delete it yourself, in the app

The fastest way — deletion is immediate and needs no email:

1. Open Splitzy and go to You (tap your avatar, top of Home).
2. Scroll to Danger zone and tap Delete my account.
3. Type DELETE to confirm. Your account and data are erased right away.

If you can't sign in, email privacy@split-zy.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it.

Email us to delete my account

We verify the request, delete your account, and confirm when it's done — within 30 days of receipt (usually much sooner), in line with Quebec Law 25 and Canada's PIPEDA.

What gets deleted

• Your login and credentials, and your profile (nickname, name, avatar, language, home currency).
• Your Interac contact everywhere it was shared.
• Your private solo/personal space and everything in it.
• Your receipt-scan diagnostic logs.
• Any pending requests you made to join a group.

What is kept — and why

Splitzy is for splitting expenses with other people. The shared expenses and settlements in your groups are also part of your group-mates' records — their balances are calculated from them. So we keep those shared financial entries, but de-identified: you appear only as "Former member," with no name and no contact. We keep them so the people you split with retain an accurate ledger.
